Security that allows Fund Donors to display in web view

When in Webview Gifts>Funds, there is a Donors tab that displays the constituents who have given to that fund.

I have a user that hasn't been able to see the Fund Donors for the last month, but could before that.

What part of Security controls the access to be able to show or hide the Donors when a user looks at a specific Fund? Thank you.

Can that user see Fund Donors in database view? I would suspect that is controlled by Security settings in Database view.

This user only uses web view. And from what I'm seeing in database view, there is no tab on the Fund that shows who the donors are. What I'm asking about is something that is unique to web view Funds.

Looking at Admin>Security, when I've looked in the DBV Security in the Group Privileges under Records Funds options, this user group allows everyone to View Funds:

Looking at the Gift Security by Fund Group Privileges area only allows you to restrict access. And this area is unchecked, allowing full fund access.

FYI, Chris, to view donors to a fund from a fund record in database view, go to View—>gifts. You'll be prompted for filters like gift date etc which you can leave open/unfilled/all inclusive and RE will generate a list of donors to the fund and their gifts.

Chris, FYI, to view donors to a Fund from a Fund record in database view, you can go to View—>Gifts. You'll be prompted for filters like gift date, gift type, campaign etc, which you can leave as all encompassing and then RE will generate a list of donors, their gift amounts etc.

Security roles in webview are such a nightmare.

Can the person at least see Funds? Have you confirmed that other people can see the donors under the Fund?

I believe this to be a Blackbaud issue that is not being addressed. The functionality rolled out less than a month ago and if you scroll through this blog post, you'll see a lot of people chiming in that it is not working as expected.

I am able to see donors in one environment that I checked, but I do have supervisor rights in database view and am an RENXT solution admin as well, so I am not a great person to troubleshoot this. I really wish Blackbaud would be more clear about necessary security settings when they release new functionality!

Roles are so frustrating. Not a huge fan of a thousand check boxes in db view but with roles issues seem to be worse trying to find what is where and the back and forth needed to set up a user.

I had never used the View>Gifts from DBV, so thank you for that info Tatyana. I see that DBV and WV display slightly different info on Fund Donors. I like how WV provides the count of the Number Of Gifts a donor has made.

I'm not sure what changed this morning, but our user that had been unable to see anything from WV Fund Donors was now able to see the donors once again. Maybe the BB engineers are to thank for this, as I know we had a support case open? It's working now from webview. Alas I don't really know what changed or what security setting controls this.
