Consolidating Income Statement

I’m trying to write a consolidating income statement report in Financial Edge that displays each department in individual columns and then displays account codes as the rows. I want each account code to only be displayed once and all department balances for that code be on that same row. However, when generating the report, I keep getting a row for every account (account code-department combination), vs. just one row for each account code, which yields a very long report. I’ve tried Blackbaud Help, but they could not help. Has anyone written this type of consolidating report? Thanks.

@Craig Felderhoff yes you can do this! I don't know all of your format settings or at what level you're running your Chart Template, so there may be some more changes to make, but this should get you going in the right direction. On the Sort 'tab' when formatting the report, you can select to sort by 'Account Code' and for the action, select 'Mask; — this will only give you the account codes per line instead of each individual account. I'd also ensure the column (likely column 1) has 'Display' > Account Code when you're editing the column.

  • @Nikki Baldwin I sent you a message. That parameter is not giving me the reporting results I need. Can we discuss directly? Thank you.
