Contact types in NXT RE

Hello everyone, does anyone have any information on this?

We have used Contact type attributes (DB View) for many years and although it helped with functionality for communications …. it is pretty laborious to set-up and then maintain.

I found an interesting post about when we want to email individuals and organisations

But from looking at the NXT Features map, I can't find any reference to contact types? Thank you, Louise

    @Louise Lawrence It seems like there are a few definitions of contact type here:

    1. Your Contact Type attribute which is a custom field in webview
    2. Christyn's email types (editable in the phone types table) that she named similar to,
    3. Relationship Contact type (screenshot)

    Hope that maybe helps as you should be able to edit and view all of them (assuming you have the rights) in webview.

    @Louise Lawrence do you mean relationship attributes in database view? Relationship Custom Fields are shown as planned for 2026 on the features map. Strangely, "Contact Type" which seems to have already been delivered as per above screen shot says "Planned post-2026".

    Thanks everyone, we have had constituents who had more than one contact type (yes, relationship attribute). So we had to use the front screen (General 1 tab) for the most important attribute and then repeat it and any others if they qualified to be more than one type of contact
