Can we config batch numbers in RE-NXT?

I just switched to batching in the web view from the database view. Is there any way to change the configuration of the batch number so it doesn't have the "GFT-Year" prefix? I'd prefer to just continue the numbering system I had in database view without manually adding the batch number each time.

    Hi @Janet Davies I moved this discussion to Raiser's Edge NXT - it was in Blackbaud CRM. Hopefully that will drum up some answers!

    Hi Janet…. you can go into the batch number field and delete the "GFT-Year" prefix. I do this whenever I create a batch. I then continue to number the batches in consecutive order. Hope this helps…..

    Yes, I agree, the NXT batch numbers are too long and completely unnecessary.
    I get that we can amend it, but I don't want to have to go looking for the last number used to then have to change each batch number manually.
    It should be like DBV, where it just automatically goes to the next sequential number.

    I actually still use DBV for my batching, as NXT is still just too slow and I don't have the patience to sit there constantly waiting for things to save, and then wait again while it takes 2 minutes for a Control report to download…. sigh.. 😫
