Personal settings gone again

I can handle updating my settings but it is getting frustrating how often they are being lost. I just went thru issues with access to processes in RE and they said a new log in was required.  So, did that and finally got most all legends and columns reset to to the info I want to see.  Now this a.m. column settings, history etc. are gone again.  At least the legends seem to have stayed. I've only been back 5 months and I think I've had to reset them 4-5 times. 


I wish they could figure out a way to not remove them with updates, maintenance or what ever happens on hosted RE. Just an irritating time thief.


Any way to avoid?

  • Me too!!  after long conversations with BB - they seem to be
    blaming the fact that I am on a Mac and Citrix can't handle
    that.

    I'm not on a Mac. Does seem to be misplaced blame.
  • All the settings/customization are gone for all 4 users in my office, and none of us are on a Mac.  But even worse, we all spent time fixing our column order/headings and one person logged out and back in and her's were all gone again! Like right away! So I just tried mine and it also reset again as soon as I logged out.
  • We don't use Macs here, either.
  • Same here, and I'm not on a Mac either.  Logged in, fixed a few things, then logged out.  When I logged on a few hours later everything had re-set again.  
  • I'm having this same issue! Any way to remedy this? It's really starting to get irritating.

    I was waiting to see if settings from yesterday held for me.  They did!! I wonder why they haven't held for others.  

     
  • I'm with you on being annoyed at this and how much time it takes to reset everything to how you had it, only for it to be reset whenever the next rollout of changes happens.  This hadn't happened at all in the previous 3 years I've been hosted, but is the 4th or 5th time it's happened this year (twice this month).  I was talking with support yesterday specifically about this and didn't get a really good answer for why this is happening, only that it's a developer issue and that I should check the NXT updates to see what's being updated.  If there are updates being applied to NXT, or for that matter RE, they shouldn't require a full user settings & customization wipe for back-end RE.

    I just received a notice from BB Support that with the upgrade to Patch 20 this issue has been resolved. So far that seems to be the case.

    I just logged in this morning to find my RE had an update and I lost all my settings, yet again.  So the patch did not help, unless I didn't get it.  I'm so tired of this!
