The giving form is in a different font and style than the rest of our site and by all accounts cannot be edited. This is a crucial feature of our site and definitely brings it down a notch. Please give this form a makeover or offer different options!

When you post ideas and feature requests there, then other schools and users can vote on your idea, add comments, etc. Product Managers update the ideas as they are considered, accepted into the product backlog, developed by Blackbaud's RDO (Research, Development & Operations) time, and released to schools. Product Managers use multiple criteria as they determine which Ideas to add to the product backlog. These criteria may include (but are not limited to) number of clients impacted, how much those clients are impacted, feasibility, relationship to other planned work, time/effort/tech needed to implement, etc. 

In other words, when you post to the Idea board, it's a bit like a discussion mixed with vote/petition to request the full-time team to add the feature. 


In comparison, the Discussions area of the community is mostly used for schools to talk to each other as peers.


Sometimes, schools will post an Idea to the Idea area and then copy the URL for the Idea into the Discussion area to encourage more schools to go vote on their idea. If you've already posted to the ideas area, linking that idea to this discussion thread might bring more attention to the idea.
