Cash Drawers and Other Altru Hardware Recommendations

Hi Community!


My organization is looking to upgrade our setup when we get new computers later this year. We are planning to get Microsoft Surface Pros and I've seen different threads about bluetooth scanners, printers, etc. We don't really have a problem with those at this time but the part of the Visitor Services desk that is a problem is the cash drawer. It's super bulky and doesn't fit well at our VS station. It's 16" wide, 17" deep and 5" tall.


What do you all use for cash drawers? Are there smaller/newer models out there that we should be aware of? Or other considerations we should keep in mind when switching from desktop computers to Surface Pros?

Hi there! I was curious if you ever sorted out the hardware your are using for POS and if so could you share your solutions?

I don't think we found anything else to use. To be honest, it feel like a million years ago that we were even thinking about this! We have been closed to the public since March and I don't know if we are even going to get those new workstations at this point. Sorry to not have a more helpful update!
