Duplicate Management NXT

Just wondering if there is a way to merge and delete the source record all at once as you can in the database view?  I see it marks the source record as "Inactive".

I don't believe that is currently an option in the WebView.
  • You might want to follow Kimberly Coughlin's blog. https://community.blackbaud.com/blogs/13/6768

I posted a question and Paula Koettter already responded.

Hi Marie - As you merge constituent records in Web view you can check the box to delete source constituent and it will merge and delete all in one action.

I don't see that option in WebView.  I only see that in database view.

You can select or unselect any of the merge options. When both records are up, while you are comparing them, you can go into the constituent code on either the source or the target, and edit them, which includes a deletion option only if there is more that one constituent code. My post in response to Kimberly's blog "Quickly merge known duplicates"  https://community.blackbaud.com/blogs/13/6768 had to do with this dilemma. If both have only one constituency, e.g., General Constituent, then it duplicates it in the target record. Paula Koetter responded and said their Developers are looking into it.

You are correct - I meant to say its available in database view, but not in WebView that I can tell.

  • That option IS available in the web view. See my previous response below . . .
