Self Serve Ticket Scanners/Kiosk

Hello, I'm researching options for reduced contact with staff/public upon re-opening, anyone know of any hardware (self service kiosks) that are compatible with Blackbaud Altru that can be used to scan admission tickets specifically and possibly other functions?  Anyone currently use a self service kiosk for this purpose? Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

  • Have not heard of any kiosks but are moving to new scanners, that will scan a mobile device screen, that will allow our visitors/members to scan their own tickets and cards at our admission desks while still requiring the desk personnel to complete the check in transactions. I'm hoping to even use one for "self scan" of cards and merchandise in the store.

  • If you are still looking, I saw Xtrulink present at last year's BBCON. I am currently researching the possiblity for our org to use them. A bit pricey, but I think it will be cost effective, as it integrates directly with Altru and provides contactless service.

    We are also looking into the possibilities of a self-service kiosk check-in for members when our museum re-opens in a few months here.


    I am wondering if anyone has found any solutions for this that are compatible with Altru, or if anyone has gone ahead with Xtrulink.


    If you have gone ahead with Xtrulink can you let me know approximately how much that costs and how smooth that integration has been.


    If organizations have identified other solutions besides a self-service check-in, I'd definitely be interested in hearing what those solutions are.
