Anyone else getting this error when adding advanced list to dist. list and previewing?

Query processor could not produce a query plan because of the hints defined in this query. Resubmit the query without specifying any hints and without using SET FORCEPLAN.

    I haven't seen that in Advanced Lists, but I have seen it in other databases. I'm not sure if this is even something you could resolve without support, as my inclination is that there is an issue somewhere within the workings of Advanced Lists with respect to the actual SQL query. You could try checking all of your joins to make sure you've got inner and outer joins set up correctly.

    Is this happening when you save the Advanced List itself, or only when you try to add it to a distribution group. Also, is there already another advanced list in the distribution group you're using? I do have some ideas but again, I'm not sure they can be fixed on the end-user side.

    Thanks for your reply! The advanced list runs just fine on its own but once it's connected to the distribution list we can't preview it. The distribution group does work with other advanced lists that don't include FA.

    Okay, so I think what I suspected may be true. You will want to reach out to BB Support because from what I understand, that error is typically thrown for JOIN errors in your SQL query. My best guess is that there's something wonky happening in the actual distribution group builder when it tries to combine the multiple advanced list queries.

    Weird fix, but is this happening only when you add the new advanced list to the existing distribution group with other lists, or even when adding just this list to a group? I would maybe try adding this advanced list to the dist group first and confirm whether it will save or not. If it does, you may then be able to add your additional lists to that group.

    Thanks, Jess! Support is looking into this - hopefully, we get a resolution soon. We have tried everything from recreating the adv list and dist list from scratch, testing with other lists, etc. Our dist group is only 1 list. Thanks for your advice :)
