Change Prefix and Suffix fields to a dropdown

I just finished cleaning up the Titles and Suffixes of all users in our database. It's amazing the data people will put in these free text fields. Please vote for this idea on the ideabank to make Prefix and Suffix a dropdown list to control what can be added in these fields.

    This is an excellent idea! In Raiser's Edge, prefix and suffix can be configured as table values and selected from a dropdown specifically to avoid this kind of thing. I do want to note that Prefix is a field that will sync from K12 to RE with ConnectRE and will overwrite what is in Raiser's Edge, so this idea seems imperative for organizations using this integration especially.

    I'm constantly surprised/confused by the way data seems to be internally structured in the K12 system but hopefully ideas like this can continue to improve things!

    YES! Coming from RE to core, I appreciate how lovely RE is in the way it manages data and specific fields. I understand that core was built completely differently and blackbaud is working hard to get the systems to connect better. I will vote for this idea again if I haven't already! We have ConnectRE so anything that helps to standardize data is my friend.
