Planned Giving documenting in RE

We are trying to figure out a way to track when a donor indicates our organization is in their will or estate planning. We don't have a module just RE7 and RE NXT. Any suggestions on how to go about tracking this in RE.

    My previous org did not have prospect or planned giving module, just RE. We used constituent attributes for endowment/planned giving data.

    Category indicated commitment with something like endowment member. Then description had a table for entries of things like ‘will bequest,’ ‘life insurance,’…

    This worked well for us for years. We actually had several attributes for this subject that recorded their preferences/if they declined.

    We do the same as noted earlier. Use the attribute (custom field in WebView) and upload any documentation we have from them. We then mark them as a prospect (also another attribute) so that can make sure to cultivate them through our newsletters, emails, events…

    We use a constituent code to indicate they are in the planned giving society. Then, we use attributes, as others mentioned, to indicate Will, etc. We print out and mail them a certificate and welcome letter, which we also put in their media tab.

    We also use a Constituent Code with a Constituent Attribute. At first it felt redundant, but we found it necessary to have the ability to both track an end date and have comments. The Constituent Attribute includes: Active (living), Deceased, Unknown (weren't notified until death), and Removed.

    We also have a file on our shared drive where the planning giving documentation is saved, then link the document to the Media tab. We link it so as to take up less space. Recently we added a new campaign and fund that is excluded by Finance to track planned giving pledges. We recognize the amounts may change when the gift is realized, but we needed a way to export the expected amounts.

    We are on RE7 self-hosted. We have the prospect tab, but not the Planned Giving module.
