Split gift with a tribute-Added to IDEAS

A significant person to our company has passed and gifts in her memory are beginning to come in. Because of how things are done in the past, when her husband passed, they have their own fund id. I've been setting up tributes for reporting, etc. Not far into these gifts, I have a split between regular gift and memorial gift. I do not see where I can set which of these is the tribute amount, or to set an amount when entering the tribute. Do I have to make this split gift as 2 line entries in RE Database?

I've done much searching online and through manuals. I found how to add for multiple tributes, but not as a split gift. Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure when it comes to tributes, it's either all or nothing. You can't set the split amount to be a tribute. That said, it only will matter if/when you are reporting on the amount.

When I was reporting on tributes, we rarely ever did a report on tributes with an amount. We would send the contribution report to the family, but we never reported on the amount of the gift.

In this case, it might be worthwhile to break this gift into two just for proper reporting.

@Dana Burton, @Dariel Dixon is correct with tribute donations. You will have to enter the donation separately, one for the normal donation and one for the tribute donation.
