Membership Cards

Hi there all! I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share their processes for physical membership card printing?

Currently, our organization uses letter paper with inset plastic cards, but we are looking to move forward with an alternate physical card as these require special paper, a special printer, and are not exactly environmentally friendly when we have to reprint for each member upon their annual renewal. We do offer a digital card, but unfortunately this is only popular with a third of our member base.

I was hoping for insight on how other organizations print physical cards, or any suggestions for more efficient processes here.

Thank you all for taking the time to read! :)

We use thick (card stock) paper that is scored so the membership card can be punched out. The paper runs through our existing laser printer, so no special equipment is needed. We only send these out to people for whom we have no email or who have expressly asked for a physical card (our default is digital, and for that we have about a 50-60% adoption rate, depending on how you calculate it). Feel free to contact me if you'd like more info.
