Anyone else unhappy with the SKY-style employment update process in Core?

Under the new SKY employee update process - when an employee is withdrawn, we can only use “Immediately” OR a future date for “End date”.

You then have to click on “Edit tenure”, and add a “Date Departed”:

How hard would it have been to either use “End date" as end of employment date, OR add “Date departed” to the employee withdrawal screen?
