Anyone willing to have a 30 min chat with me about NXT Workflow?

Hi all. I have started playing about with this, but without being able to test it, I am scared to activate the workflow. I was going to do that and test it on my own record… Any Workflow genius willing to give me a little of their expert time to help me set it up right and show me how to test it? TIA!

not an expert with RE NXT flow as it is too limiting and we create our own workflow using Power Automate, however, if you plan to test it out, the easy thing to do is to create a constituent list that is targeting only yourselves, and use this list as the basis of your workflow. Once you more “ok” with it, you can expand your constituent list to include a few other staff that is willing to test for you.

Power Automate is a workflow automation tool that is activated by some “triggers” (i.e. an email is received, a http request is sent to a specific power automate URL, a RE NXT constituent added, etc) and then from that trigger will follow a suite of various actions you want to do.

For example, you can setup a webhook trigger where the Power Automate flow is triggered whenever a new gift record is added. The “trigger” will be provided a system record ID of the gift that was added and allow your subsequent flow to action on it, such as get gift info, and check if the gift is over certain amount (i.e. $10,000) and notify a gift officer via email of the gift immediately to do some “outreach”.
