THERE’S STILL TIME TO POLISH YOUR PROFILE

   

For the rest of this month, we are boosting the points values for updating your profile picture and updating your bio! An updated profile pic will net you 500 Community points. Update your bio, role, or solutions and get 1,000.  We’re challenging every Community member to look at their profile and take the following actions:

• Add or update your profile pic.
• Update your bio. 
• Add/update your role. 
• Add/update the solutions you use.

If you need a refresher on how to update your profile pic and your bio, we’ve got you.  

 

Are you more driven by badges than points? Good news! If you upload a profile pic for the first time, you will receive a participant badge. And the points awarded will help you move toward that next authority badge level!

GET TO KNOW A NINJA


Each week, we aim to bring you a little closer to one of our Blackbaud Community super users (AKA Ninjas). This week, we’d like to introduce Patti Hommes; development manager at Jack & Jill Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Patti is a green Blackbaud Community ninja, a Blackbaud Champion, two-time presenter at bbcon (2019 & 2021), and is double certified in Raiser’s Edge.







What area are you in (geographically) and why do you love it?

I have been in Southeast Florida for the past 5 years after spending most of my life in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. I love the sunshine, the water, the restaurants (oh my goodness, the FOOD!!!). I am not a huge beach person, even though it's only 2 miles away, but I do love boating and sailing around the Fort Lauderdale canals and the Intracoastal Waterway. We are so close to the Bahamas that a long weekend could just mean a hop to an Island (that's where the photo was taken)!



What do you enjoy about the Blackbaud Community?

The PEOPLE for sure! I love the interaction with Blackbaud users worldwide. Everyone is so helpful and knowledgeable in their own way - you can always find an answer to any question from someone in the Community. And Community Managers and their challenges for keeping us on our toes, getting the thought juices flowing, and making it FUN in the process.



What is something that you never thought you’d enjoy at your current job that gets you up and motivates you now?

After working in healthcare and upscale private K-12 orgs for almost 20 years, working in an early ed Center for families in need is the most rewarding of them all. Coming to work every day and seeing our kids and the smiles on their faces, knowing that we are helping to raise them and educate them, all while also helping their parents learn to thrive and lead better lives, makes each day worthwhile!! We have so many amazing success stories and I am so proud to be a part of Jack & Jill Center.
