KB 204046 - When will Auto-fill return to webforms?

Webforms have been missing the auto-fill features mentioned in KB 204046 for over a calendar year now.

When will this be fixed?

    I have asked this question several times since July 2024.

    My chat with support today, 05/14/2026:

    Me: Webforms have not auto-filled for end-users in almost 2 years. When will Blackbaud fix this?

    Me: Online registrants have to complete their contact information twice because of the way Altru webforms are set up, but have to fill in their information each time as opposed to auto-filling, which for our frequent registrants causes people to stop registering. A CRM's most basic feature should be enabling an organization to collect registrant information in as quickly and easily a manner for UX as possible. This is causing us to lose opportunities.

    Blackbaud: At this time, I want to be transparent that we do not have a confirmed timeline for when webform auto-fill behavior will be restored or improved. From what we can currently see, this is not a recently introduced issue but rather a long-standing behavior influenced by how browsers interact with web form fields and ongoing security and framework updates made to Altru web forms over time.

    So, no, Blackbaud has not fixed it nor do they appear to intend to.
