Now that the invitation functionality is available in the new application portal, I am wondering how to go about using it? We send about 100 invitations per quarter to specific contacts on organizations currently, by pasting the unique program link into an email document template. We like that this creates a document and activity record that we can track, but it is not very attractive from a user interface perspective and the Invitation communication from the Program email side would look and feel more streamlined. However, I am not sure how to send them, and I am not sure how to track them. Does anyone know, and is there documentation anywhere? Haven't been able to find anything so far.

    @Nicole Ragno This does answer the question Nicole, thank you! One more thing- is there a record anywhere of the invitation being sent? Can I run a report of which contacts received an invitation to a certain program?

    In my testing I see now that it does record the invitation as an Activity. Yay! Super excited about this functionality, thank you BBGM team!!!

    There are a couple of caveats to consider -

    • your organisation records must have State and Country fields completed
    • your applicant organisations must be part of Blackbaud's Verified Network.

    @Kim Hook We had some glitches where we couldn't figure out why we weren't able to send invitations and it was due to the tax ID/verified network issue. Unfortunately we had to troubleshoot that ourselves and then inform Blackbaud Support what we found, but hopefully they have it documented somewhere now.

    We have not had a problem with needing the Organization Country field completed- I have been able to send invitations without it. Are you in the UK or Canada? Maybe that is the difference.
