Gifts from a deceased person does not carry over to the living spouse when record is marked deceased

Another RE NXT SNAFU. In database, when a person (with gifts) who with a spouse becomes deceased, the spouse record is created and the gifts get soft-credited to the spouse (if the business rules in Database are set up for that. Yet in RE NXT, there is no such business rule for gifts, so in the case above, the spouse record is created, but the gifts do not get soft-credited for the spouse. This is a big issue that needs resolved for the future.

I came here to confirm that that wonderful feature is not currently available in NXt, only in DBView. It is essential for us as many donor have a 10 years + giving history and we need to soft-credit the gifts one by one to make sure the surviving spouse get the same mailings and status (loyal donors) based on gifts.

…. it would be yet another example to be annoyed at how slow and much more complicated it is to do things in NXT.
