Setting up budget visibility by program manager

We use project security queries to restrict/manage this type of access and based on my understanding you could use similar queries to restrict access to see accounts also. Within a particular user you then assign these queries in their Financial Edge NXT record security set up to control what projects and accounts they can see when looking records in FE or when running reports (if they have that type of access). We have a similar setup with 14 departments, each of which needs access only to specific expense accounts. To manage this, we use account security queries that control which accounts are visible to each department. Currently, we apply these queries to reports so the reporting format remains consistent while the data changes based on each department’s access. My understanding is that these same queries can also be applied more generally to FE access through record security by granting users access only to selected accounts.
