Communities aren't just built around topics—they're built around people. With Member Following, you can follow the members whose contributions you value most and choose exactly how you want to stay in the loop on their activity. 

Follow someone and you'll get in-app notifications, email notifications, or both whenever they start a discussion or blog, leave a comment, or publish an event. It's the perfect complement to Category and Tag following—a way to discover content based on who is sharing it, not just what it's about. 

Why follow someone? Maybe it's a member who always has the best answers. Maybe it's a Blackbaud staffer or community manager sharing key updates. Either way, following keeps their content coming straight to you. 

Getting started is easy: select a member's name anywhere in the community, click their profile card, and hit Follow. That's it—they're added to your followed members list. (Note: private profiles can't be followed.) 

Once you're following someone, you're in full control. Head to your Followed Content page (Users tab) to manage everyone you follow, fine-tune notification preferences person-by-person, or set default notification settings, so new follows are handled automatically. Getting too many emails? Every notification includes a one-click unsubscribe—just for that person, with your other follows untouched.
