    Would you mind sharing the communication you use for faculty and parents for BBID?

    Barbara,

    No problem.

    I received a lot of advice from the Blackbaud Community. Many examples of communications that have been sent to parents. Many examples of directions that have been sent to parents. In planning our conversion, my Communications Director and I decided to play this "low-key". We felt like too many directions would tend to confuse our parents.

    So . . . In Core > Security > Blackbaud ID Authentification, I filtered for Parents, selected a group at a time, clicked on Connect > Chose "Yes" to send "Email Invitation". and that's it.

    We posted this announcement in our Weekly "Campus Update" for a few weeks:

    We have had very few minor issues. All issues related to parents trying to sign in with their old username rather than their email address. (I am not changing the message on our sign-in screen reminding everyone to sign in with their email address until we convert faculty/staff/students next week. That should solve this issue.)

    The other minor issue was addressing the individual families that were using the same email address. I sent emails to these families requesting a unique email for each parent and then sent their Invite.

    As of today, 80% have converted. I have "Reinvited" the slowpokes a few times. At this point, it's on them to follow up with me if they need to get into our system.

    We just started the faculty/staff conversion today. I sent this email:

    Dear Faculty and Staff Members,

    This morning, we will be updating our My School App sign-in protocols, and migrating to Blackbaud IDs. You will receive an email from me that will prompt you to migrate your account to a Blackbaud ID.

    After clicking on the blue "Accept Invitation" button you will be prompted to Confirm your sicds.net email address.

    Next, you will sign in using your sjcds.net credentials (Google email address and password) to finalize your Blackbaud ID conversion.

    From this point on, your username is your sjcds.net email address and you should be signed in using our Google credentials.

    We are not seeing any problems or difficulties at all.
