Each week, we aim to bring you a little closer to one of our Blackbaud Community super users (AKA Ninjas). This week, we’d like to introduce Joanne Felci, Database Administrator at Fenway Health in Boston, MA.
What area are you in (geographically) and why do you love it?
I’m in the North Shore of Boston, MA. I love being near my family but really hate the weather here. Most of my adult life I lived in the Pacific NW (Portland OR, Seattle, WA) and I LOVED the mountains, ocean, laid back attitude.
What do you enjoy about the Blackbaud Community?
There is so much expertise, people willing to help, and being with YOUR people. The other database geeks who GET it. I’m the expert at my organization and really the only one that uses RE in an advanced way, so it is wonderful to have this backup of peers to help figure things out.
What is something that you never thought you’d enjoy at your current job that gets you up and motivates you now?
Keeping the data clean and accessible to get the best data out to support our mission – so our gift officers can do their job more effectively.
