I recently discovered a helpful tool for deleting multiple queries in bulk in database view that was buried in the Tools menu while on the Query tab and have found it immensely helpful for faster, more efficient data cleanup. I had no idea this existed! This got me thinking (and I'd love everyone's input), what is a tool, feature, etc., you recently discovered within Raiser's Edge NXT (database view or web view) that you have found to be helpful to your role/your team within your organization? If it's something in database view that isn't yet in web view, does it merit adding to the Idea Bank?

This one isn't really hidden, but I have enjoyed webview's duplicate management quite a bit. Something about the visual layout works with my brain.

Glad you found that tool, @Sara Niemiec! I think the bulk deleting of queries in webview is even better than the tool in DBV so if folks haven't checked that out it is worth looking into.

I don't know if this is "hidden", but the ability to move a gift from one constituent to another in WV is one of my favorite things! Particularly for orgs that have a lot of generational families with the same name - it is nice to be able to clean up a data entry error so easily!

@Bobby Steurer, I like that feature as well. Being able to see the two records side by side is super helpful.

This is not Raiser's Edge - but if you use Excel a lot, you HAVE to get ASAP Utilities add in, it's amazing

Deleting multiple queries in web view is so much easier than that clunky tool in database view. I guess since there isn't that much training in database view anymore those tools are more hidden to people than they used to be,

I think it's helpful to see the records side by side, but the best part is that the merged records are in the recently accessed records list. It helps to be able to go back and do some of the manual cleanup that the tool doesn't manage well.

I've never heard of this, but it looks super helpful! I bet it would help me efficiently manage all of the mailing lists that are requested. I can't wait to check it out!

I also much prefer to delete queries in webview because you can select them from their folders, not have to select from the full list every time so it is much faster. I have deleted hundreds of old queries through webveiw.

Table clean up (now in webview) is very helpful to merge near duplicate values without having to do global changes. We keep getting both Amex and American Express in our credit card list. And NXT seems to let any user add new values including mispellings to our address field tables - NZ Suburb / NZ City.

There are some useful plugins in database view. Delete Phones > Delete Blank phone number is very helpful. I also use Apply Phone Formats because phones entered via webview are formatted differently from phones ented via database view.
