Volunteer Module -Position titles

Hello,

Can anyone provide solutions for how they tracking volunteers? My org was using Job assignments in the RE volunteer tab. A few years ago, we hit a block with adding new positions. We revisited this issue recently unsuccessfully finding a solution. Our volunteer positions have a year long tenure and sometimes longer.
