Has anyone switched from ImportOmatic to another RE NXT import tool?

Hello everyone. We are an overnight camp using camp software, and for years we have relied on Omatic’s ImportOmatic to sync our camper and staff data into Raiser's Edge Database view at the end of each summer. Our annual process involves creating relationships, adding events, and updating attributes for both new and returning constituents. Because we only run this import once a year, Omatic's recent rate increases and push toward their Cloud solution have us evaluating our options. Before we commit, we would love to know if anyone has successfully switched from ImportOmatic to another integration tool for RE NXT. If so, what product are you using, how satisfied are you with its performance compared to Omatic, and has it proven to be more cost-effective for seasonal use? Thank you for your insights!

    We are with OmaticCloud (but not loving the cost especially for the still missing features). However, I just watched a demo of Importacular which I used at a previous nonprofit. Their free NXT integration looks really promising, I would connect it and see how well it could work, nothing to lose there!

    With things being what they are, a cloud solution may end up being your only option. @David Zeidman and his team have a wonderful import tool as well, but I would try to take a look at the import process again. It might be worth investigating if you can build an import in the native tool to help with this, as it is only run once annually.

    Or perhaps if you think you can't handle it, perhaps there is a RE NXT consultant that might be able to help with this project.

    Thanks Dariel. I actually sent an email to @David Zeidman and his team about Importacular and am waiting to hear back. I think the import is too large and involved to use the RE import process. I have done many smaller imports but nothing of this scale. I need to import events, relationships, attributes, addresses, emails, phone numbers, ect. I think it would take multiple different imports to get all the information added to RE.

    Yes, Omatic's increase is pretty wild. We're in the process of converting all our processes to Importacular. Three cheers for @David Zeidman ! 😀
